And thats not exactly how I expected the Thief to take it but I was interested and surprised nontheless. And once again I can't wait to see what happens next. Im in love with all the different levels and aspects of all the characters. and everyone seems to fall even further down the rabbit hole. I can't wait to see how everything turns out when they eventually turn right side up :)

And Nah-Ra-Ku is back! Is it just me or Kagome is starting to feel something for him even if it is only a teeny-weeny bit?

Oh my, I just realised that Nah-Ra-Ku is Naraku. Feel so silly! Took me a while lol

It feels weird for having sympathy for an antagonist, sort of like feeling sorry for Voldemort because his life was messed up. Anywho, i hope Kagome doesn't have anymroe dreams like that, that was one terrible nightmare, i would have grabbed her tracks and slammed her against a coconut tree or something. I was wondering when he would show up and i just got to say i look forward to his visits, i would like Professor Taisho being the one getting the action but if it's his body i'm a-okay. Loved this chapter and can't wait to see what happens next.

This chapter left me with mixed feelings. I'm worried that Sesshoumaru is gonna find something out, and that Kagome doesn't feel bad for doing this to him...or if she does, not enough lol. I don't feel bad for the demon. I feel horrible for Sesshoumaru though. I think Kagome is mixed up on Na-Ra-Ku's treatment of her. However she may be able to see it, what he is doing to her professor and herself is wrong.

Well written as ever, Freya...but leaving me confused as ever. Hopefully a trip to that spiritualist, Myoga, is in store for Kagome soon! :)

Gosh, I just love their interactions. It just sparks chemistry.

Stupid Sango and her STUPID happiness! grrr... So there is whats so awesome about your writing. Somehow you manage to express things in a way that really makes the reader feel and think what the character feels and is thinking, even without specifically saying so. Like I was SO mad at Sango for being able to have a carefree and open honest relationship with Miroku, when Kagome had to deny her feelings and hide her affections. I felt like it was personal to me. lol

The brief revisit to why Kagome is getting the house - the when, and the circumstances surrounding that, was very helpful in clearing up some of the questions I had asked earlier. Thank you! :) I was having a blonde moment, certainly, so it was helpful having the clarification.

And OH NO!!!! SHE LEFT THE BLINDS DOWN WHEN SHE LEFT! Wonder if the Professor will even notice that little fact. maybe it will raise an eyebrow and start the cycle of him starting to question things a little more closely.

Poor Nah Rah Ku... I do so adore him. And I can't help but feel bad for him. Maybe experiencing life through the eyes of a human shell has made him confused about feelings and emotions that he normally never felt when he was in his own body. If has to be a little overwhelming and maybe even a little frightening. And a brief observation/question... as Kagome becomes more open to her sight is it possible that when Nah Rah Ku comes to her she'll start "seeing" him as he sees himself - like as in his own form?

Dream sequence rocked. I was actually getting kinda nervous through-out. The ash thing had me smacking my mouth a looking for water. Yick.

And I totaly burst into laughter when Kagome said Naraku was HER pet because she fed him. I love the quick whit and sharp one liners she snaps out sometimes.

Ah my favorite story update, yah!  I loved this chapter, it was cool seeing them just hang out around her house. I almost want to cry thought, i just want him to drag her into a janitors closet at school and snog her but that's probably not going to happen any time soon. Ah well, i loved this chapter and can't wait to see the next one.

(3) I loved the scene between Sesshomaru and Kagome at the end when he FINALLY got the guts to get close to her! It was tender and hot at the same time!

Now I'm beyond curious about this birthday! I'm wondering if Sesshomaru will be involved somehow (like if he'll attend or if he'll just casually try and observe it in some informal way)

The comedic break at the begining was deffiantely an appreciated relief from all the heavy themes you have been exploring. Sesshomaru/Miroku interactions were just as funny as I expected them to be. And I certainly can appreciate the odd situation that Kagome was put in thanks to mom's well meaning meddling - I too have a mom jUST like that. lol Especially loved the part where she brought up the dumplings.

Will you bring up the issue of Kagome inhereting the house again? I was a little confused by this. Why would mom and souta move if they plan on continuing to work the shrine? Why would they leave the bigger house to Kagome when Kagome is still just ONE rather than a married woman or with a family? Souta and Mrs. Higarashi would need more space than JUST Kagome. I didn't quite understand the reasoning there. And you brought up gran'pa's wishes being part of that descision, but what was his wish that would have Kagome inhereting the house? I'm sure there are simple explanations that you includedi nthe chapter, but I think I'm continuing to over-look them. ...chalk it up to a far too common blonde moment! lol

That kiss at the end was so appropriately brief, sweet, and kinda awkward! It wouldn't make sense for them to have a passionate kiss, or for it to be too familiar. After all they still haven't exactly explored their relationship yet, just more spoken on it. It deffaintely builds the suspence and anticipation.

Oh and I LOVED the ending. I really appreciate that you are exploring Kagome's "gift" as something more that a brief or passing happenstance, limited to the Nah Rah Ku and Lyka situation. You made it obvious both with Myoga nad in this scene that Kgome's gift is growing - or rather perhaps she's just honing it more. I have more to comment on this, but I'm sending it in a PM. ;)

So in conclusion, BRAVO! I know you struggled with getting this out, not just because your wrist was hurting but also because you were a little stuck. It deffaintely didn't show in the writing. I thought this was a very informative chapter, and quite a fun break. I just LOVE Miroku's jokes about not understanding women, and the little bit of comradery we start to glimpse between Sesshomaru and Miroku.

OH!!! I just thought of a silly observaion: If their school is like the typical US College, then it would just be assumed that if Miroku is a professors assistant then he's likely an upper classmen. Which means its likely that when he moves on, that Kagome might be elligable to become the assistant - I smell sequel! lol J/K But maybe something to consider in the timeline... If Miroku is an upperclassmen and still taking classes with Sesshomaru, then it could be several years before Kagome and Sesshomaru are able to BE together formally, as their would still be a conflict of interest. Thats gotta be SO hard :( poor Kagome... I really feel her struggle in this story. Its gotta be so hard to love someone that you CAN'T be with.

This was a eventful chapter in so many ways. Im still wondering and anticipating how the Thief is going to handle the new relationship between Sesshoumaru and Kagome. although I guess the key question is how are they going to handle it. You have a way of keeping everything interesting. Even the mundane like dinner with the family. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen next (esp since I was suprised to find out that Kagome was only 19)!!

Waaaaah a new chapter!!! I wa seriously going through withdrawal though I very much understand the delay. Yay they kissed! that was nice and I do wonder how much longer they will be able to keep up the appearance of a normalish student teacher relationship since I don't think they will be able to make it until Kagome graduates. So yes, another great chapter, I'm glad your hand is doing better and I eagerly await the next chapter and will most likely continue to reread your story from start to finish in the meantime

awwww man i just had the slowest moment. i just notice that na rah ku was naraku. i felt so slow. 10 chapters in and i just notice how the name is said.
