Sesshoumaru, you dog..... He knotted with her, I wonder what the outcome will be?  pupped or not pupped, that is the question.

Uh oh, I have a feeling that are a lot more complications ahead for all of them. Who would have thought? So, Inuyasha has a daughter? It seems that he was not very carefull in his past relationships when waiting for Kagome and that may be a problem for them in the future. And I'm curious to know what Sesshoumaru will do to win Kagome's love and trust, since him himself has many problems to solve before planning to have a future with her. Great chapter.

Great update. I can't wait to see how Sesshoumaru fights for her. I'd love to see how him pulling out all the stops to keep her. Plus, it sounds like InuYasha's  had a better life than him. He is in a loveless marriage, and has no real children. InuYasha actually does have a family (daughter) maybe more kids. Besides he's had plenty of time (years) to contact Kagome and hasn't. Though I can't wait to see what does happen when InuYasha gets back.

Well, the story reached the point where them both realized that they love each other. It's really bittersweet, because when Inuyasha returns, they all will suffer. They will have to deal with all their problems, and the truth is that Sesshoumaru was not expecting to fall in love with Kagome, so he has the most explaining and repairing to do. He needs to solve all his problems, his disastrous marriage, and to show Kagome that he really loves her and not that he just did what he did to hurt Inuyasha, before he has any hope to be happy. He has a lot of work to do. Great chapter

Great chapter, it's amazing reading about how Sesshoumaru as he comes to realize he is in love with Kagome. I can't wait for the next chapter. I wonder if he is going to start acting more affectionate with her at work from now one. I hope you update soon.

It's going to be so very difficult for them both when she learns the truth. A truth that before things got this far that he should have told her himself and then telling her that at the time she had come in and embraced him unpon their first meeting something had happened to him that he had never felt before and he just didn't know how to tell her that he wasn't the person she thought she had loved, but that he also knew that she couldn't possibly be remembering her true past and he had reservations about revealing the past to her as amnesia, which he seriously thought she had, is a very delicate thing. If he just told her of their past association he could have caused her to have irrepairable damage done and he respected the woman who fought beside him too much to take that chance and at the same time he needed to find out what this feeling was she instilled within him when she touched him as no other had ever made him have such a reaction.

I can understand her being truly ticked off at him when she finds out that the visions of the hair and eyes in her dreams were actually InuYasha and I'm sure Inu will most definitely help her anger along. It's how he is where Sesshoumaru is concerned. But if Sesshoumaru can get her away to a private place, even if he has to steal her away, his explanation would sound plausable and he has done nothing but show her just how much he cares for her all this time even though he has never said the 3 little words all woman want to hear. If she knows anything about youkai at all, not many will even say those words as they don't believe in this emotion...but Kagome has surely made him think again about that as it seems he does feel love for her but is just fearful what will happen when she learns the truth that her dreams were of his brother and not him.

There's a severe thunderstorm starting not too far from here and I can just hear the thunder and where's there thunder, there's lightning, a threat to our internet and computers. What a bother!

I can understand fully what Sesshoumaru is going through and it isn't easy for him to just put it into words as he is trying to assess what these feelings: these emotions that he is so unused to feeling mean. He knows anger, resentment, hate, and on the positive side, respect. He even knows when he likes and dislikes, but love? Most youkai refuted love even existing for them as it is too easily used against you...even today.

My own husband told me he felt the this way when we had come to blows on a night when an arguement about an unknown male had stirred his jealousy. I gave him no reason to feel jealousy of any kind but to him, he felt threatened. I couldn't understand why as the male in question had accidently bumped me while he was looking for money or a credit card card I assumed in his wallet to pay for gas and I was on my way back from paying for the gas that I had put in my car while my husband, then boyfriend was washing the front window of my car. The arguement started as soon as I got into my car and every word out of his mouth was filled with venom. I, never having had a boyfriend as I was raised very protected, couldn't understand why he was so upset. He made me pull into a parking lot with very few cars while he proceeded to "put me in my place". I just stared with hot tears rolling down my cheeks as I couldn't see what he was so angry about. I had deliberately left my purse in the car and had only the exact amount of money for the gas in my hand and was on my way back to the car with the receipt. The man in question dropped his wallet though and I, like the proper lady I was raised to be, apologised for the collison and asked if he needed help finding all that fell from his hands which he in turn said " no thank you but it was his fault not mine" and I nodded and walked the rest of the distant to my car. After that arguement I was promptly taken home and was walked to the door where he turned to leave after seeing that the apartment was empty. (something he always did for my safety I guessed) When he went to the door I asked him quite meekly what was with all this and he waited looking outside and then turned around and said," can't you see...can't you see that I love you!" I lifted my head to see some strange man holding you... you BELONG to me and he... I'll say it again, do you want some other guy or me?...(I deadpanned in shock) You're killing me here...TALK! SAY SOME THING!", he continued. I was stunned into silence. Me, the chatterbox who rambles on and on, but in the car he had given me a whole other feeling. I thought he was going to leave me over something as stupid as an unexpected collison with a stanger.

Needless to say life was quite different from that day on but he still kept me closely guarded and did his best to show me just how very much he loved and cherished me but no male was permitted to be near me without him at my side. Sesshoumaru is experiencing this too. It's new to him and to his way of life. He wants to protect this little secret and very privately special part of his life. He's lived for centuries and never has had to deal with the emotion called love. To him, youkai didn't experience this emotion or had erradicated it from their existence because it makes them vulnerable and weakened.

In many ways his jealousy is kind of sweet but can be a serious detriment to his relationship with Kagome as she is still very young (compared to him) and unexperienced (which he surely knows). Yes, she has a temperment to rival his own and demands respect as much as he does but he is so unused to this. We have yet to know what happened with Rin and we only know that it's enough that his wife is blackmailing him or them with what Rin had in confidence told her. I'm surprised that Sesshoumaru hasn't "taken care" of this woman before now. This, too, is so unlike the lord we know from the past.

My hope is that he takes this time tonight and decides where his heart lies where Kagome is concerned as it's obvious they're falling in love with each other and I'd hate for his love to hold her hostage from her friends and family and she comes to resent him for it. That jealousy alone can be a catalyst for Kagome turning to InuYasha when he returns if Sesshoumaru doesn't strengthen the bonds between he and Kagome now and I'm sure he's giving this a lot of thought right now too.

So sorry for prodding you to post this chapter and then not RandR until now but after messaging you I found an old fic that kept me intrigued for more hours than I realised and I slept through Saturday and Sunday had thunderstorms throughout the whole day where here in the country we have to pull all plugs even with surge protectors to prevent lightning damagement.

I can sense the incoming pain when inuyasha returns. 

Also the intense emotions of sesshoumaru and the doubt within kagome. 

Also i really want to know what occured to rin. 

I've been remiss to reading and keeping up to date on all the stories I was reading :(

Sesshomaru's feelings are understandable. He may seem like a possessive prick but really.....part of it may be his genetic make-up. Inuyasha after all was VERY possessive of Kagome throughout the anime. While he did calm it down somewhat after a time, he was still posessive. Secondly, we are still learning about Sesshomaru's past and what is going on between him, Rin, and his wife. So he's probably never had someone to call his own. Whatever has happened with Rin has put such distance between them that he no longer has Rin as "his" pack. Kagome seems to be the only one that is "his" and he doesn't want to lose that.

But, he will lose her if he doesn't allow her time with her friends and family, and if he does make his wife go away so he can marry Kagome. And of course there are the lies and such he has been keeping but Kagome does not know of those yet ;)

Very nice chapter, and a moment of reflection for both of them. Kagome, although mistakenly, is slowly falling in love with Sesshoumaru. It's very difficult not to, when she is so intimately involved with him, her first lover was him and she really believes that he is the one that she loved in the past and even if their relationship is not what she expected it to be, she still chose to have faith in him. As for Sesshoumaru, he is starting to understand that what he feels for Kagome is far deeper than only obsession, although he can not fully realize and name it at the moment, after all he never fell in love before. Very good chapter.

Awww. . . they have fallen for each other! How sweet! I hope Sesshoumaru will be able to open up to her. But what will happen when Kagome regain her memories of the past about Inuyasha? O everything will go well for them. Sooo glad you make a new update, can't wait to see what happens next!

They are falling in love. Sesshomaru just need a courage to tell her that he loves kagome. And kagome needs to open her heart to sesshy. Please let them be happy author-sama ;')
