Hello! I have a question. At the start of the story you mentioned it was outlawed to be in practice as a priestess. Does this chapter circle back to that? 

I'm a little confused because it didn't mention her children. 

I have a high appreciation for the unpredictability of this story. It keeps the drama fresh and I'm always wondering what'll happen next.

I wonder if Kagome practising her priestess profession would catch the emperor's attention? Didn't the princess ask her step bro to implement that stupid law of having priestesses banned, or at least get the emperor's permission first before they could offer their services?

And it was nice of Dr. Tanaka to help out. I admit I wanted him and Kagome to hook up in the beginning just to get even, but like Kagome says, her life is already to complicated and having him included  in the equation is selfishness on her part. I expect Sesshoumaru to get a little jealous though when he sees how close the two were, even though there's nothing between them but friendship.

To be honest, I feel sorry for Maemi -- at first. Nobody wants to be used like a bartering tool and be put into a situation where you have no say on things or have control of. But damn it, my sympathy took a 360 degree turn and walked away when she started acting like a fool. It was so damn hard to feel for her. I sincerely hope she gets her just desserts soon. I will admit it was too difficult for me to read every Sessh/Maemi moments that I had to stop and walk off the unsettling feeling first and then continue reading again.

As for Kagome, I can't help but feel sorry for her. With the kind of trials heaped against her and the things she had to give up, I was amazed she's still holding up. I mean, she is a time traveller stuck in the past and what little happiness she gets, she has to sacrifice a lot first to attain it. I just can't deal that Kagome's bumped into second place again (first with Kikyo then to the princess). But I'm glad Sesshoumaru is starting to mend their relationship again and cheereed for them both when he proposed to her. Let me tell you, I was in cloud 9 and rolled around on my bed after reading that lol!

Anyways, keep it up! Eagerly awaiting for the next chapter.

Good chapter! just to add. Why not Sesschomaru embroiled the emperor in its own subterfuge. Political assassination is prevalent on their time period. A counter espionage or game manipulation. Putting a stupid power hungry relative in position as a puppet? It would be nice to put some political happening at the same time. Since, it's the reason he marries the princess.

So, Kagome had thoughts that the doctor may care a little more for her than just a friend. I know he wouldn't dare overstep his bounds with her knowing she is still Sesshoumaru's mate despite the situation. I still think it's sweet of him to make sure she and her pups are safe and how he was able to divert those waters was amazing.Kagome turning those buildings into shelters for all who lost their homes was so like her. I don't think Sesshoumaru would be upset bout that as long as she and the pups were safe and fed.

Oh, I also can't tell you how happy I was to hear Sesshoumaru tell his wife that he wasn't going to sevice her tonight. I can imagine how she took that. Poor Aiko getting her first period must have ben pretty frightening for her and not having her mother to go to, instead having to tell her father something so personal and embarassing is not easy. See, if only Princess Maemi could have accepted her situation and not caused so much grief and turmoil, she could have been happy helping to raise all of the children with Kagome and Sessshoumaru. I, myself, would have gladly done that and been happy. A child doesn't need to be my own to love and care for it.

I gather that the princess may try to use Aiko having her first period to get Aiko to flare that fiery little temper of hers. I know if I were the princess, that this would be just the thing to finding out Kagome's wereabouts. If she does, I can't wait to find out how the princess goes about doing it. Aiko is bound to be a little irritable which I know my daughter is every single month. It's like be on the watch for a family feud if she's in a mood. We steer clear of bothering her.

I didn't get it. Why didn't the bird demons  inform Sesshoumaru of the situation that Kagome was in all this months? And the soldiers that he had sent to protect the eastern region? If he knew, he would at last send her some kind of help, if he could not go there in person, wouldn't he?

i would that at the end sesshomaru sells ,to the princess  pampered as sex slave a tavern of drunks

Awww, Sweetie, thanks so much for the Sessh/Kags goodness. Sad that they couldn't do the mad, wild, and passionate monkey dance, but  it's nice to know the passion is still HOT!!!! I'm also glad Sessh told Kagome everything that was going on back home and brought her back into the loop. I'll bet he was a little surprised that she undestood the princesses' feelings in all of this, but then that's Kagome. She's a good soul. Always seeing the good in people and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I felt sooo sad when Sesshoumaru left to head home. To have to hear Kagome calling his name as her heart is breaking wishing for him not to leave and he wishing he could just stay. Suck it up and fly home, dear Sessh, save your pups, mate and kingdom from another bitch only this one isn't inu, she's a bitch in every sense of the human terminology!

The time he spent with the pups must have been felt really wonderful, almost like old times after being away so long, but just knowing that "his wife" was out there fuming in anger and scheming to do something against him, dang, I don't know if I'd been able to hold myself in check! I agree with the concensus, kill the bitch, smack her tush until the skin peels off and every other thing imaginable. That "poor woman" has lost her noodle! Even her own family can see it now. That Step-mother is her only driving force. Whatever the Step-mother says gets Maemi's ire up to really fight dirty. Someone needs to point the finger on her in all this mess. She deserves just as much, if not more than Maemi for what has been going on. That old hag just keeps pushing the woman's buttons making everything worse. Maybe Sessh should send her back home. He didn't sign anything that says she had to be there did he? (You needn't answer that, I'm rambling again, lol) Hey, I know, maybe she should get that spanking that her step daughter was given for misbehaving...!!!!...???

Oh, and honestly, that princess STILL doesn't know that Sesshoumaru can sense her feelings just by her sight and smell alone? It may have been dark in his chambers for her but he is still youkai the last time I checked, and she should know by now that he didn't get where he's at today being clueless, yet she still keeps acting the same way around him and every other youkai in that castle. Honestly, she thought that blowing out the candle was a good idea??? Both Jaken and Hotaru are still youkai!!! Their sense of smell may not be as advanced as Sesshoumaru but they could definitely smell a just blown out candle.

I am also glad that Kagome has someone there like the doctor to help her when she needs a friend. I am also glad that he's a male friend at this point as she really needs a male's strength to trust in and lean on when trouble strikes. I can imagine how she must miss InuYasha and Miroku sometimes. InuYasha may have his faults but he was almost always there when Kagome needed him, even in his brash and gruff way. Well, I guess I've gone on long enough, ne? Yeah, well... I'm doing a happy dance just knowing you're going to take a while longer with tying up ends on this fic. You know that, don't you??? I read this this morning and then a storm hit and we had to turn off the internet and comps. I just couldn't wait to get back on to review and I've had way too much time to think of things to say. So the little bitch is going to try and hurt Kagome. I hope Sesshomaru peel the skin from her skinny ass this time. At least Sesshomaru warned Kagome and will find ways to protect her. Intense chapter. Sesshomaru purifying his seeds before they could take root inside his wife, brilliant, that is such a Sesshy thing to do.

I love this chapter, at least they got a chance to bond a little. I have a feeling that the princess won't take heed to the advice, she is too infatuated with her husband. lol!
